If you are a business using a Point of Sale then it is desirable to have your EFTPOS terminal integrated into your POS. An integrated terminal is one that communicated with your POS so you do not have to type an amount into the terminal or mark an item as paid in the POS. The POS tells the terminal what to charge and then once paid reconciles it into the POS. This reduces manual handling errors by staff who may accidentally press the wrong amount into the terminal and thus under or overcharge a client. An integrated terminal avoids these issues.
